Tony Moly The Chok Chok Green Tea Watery Lotion Review

tonymoly chok chok

As I am a sucker for green tea stuff I had to give this a try. This was on my radar for a long time. I always have some lotion or cream of green tea. I feel for our climate and my skin type green tea works amazingly. The soothing fragrance comes as a bonus.
The consistency is watery lotion exactly what I prefer, even if it makes my skin look oily after 2-3 applications but I love it that way.

🌿 Packaging: A sturdy plastic bottle with a light and dark green combo is apt for this product.

🌿 Texture: It’s very light and makes a thin smear after spreading it out on a face and neck, absorbs in no time.

🌿 Fragrance: Typical green tea smell, very mild and soothing to senses which doesn’t stay for long.

🌿 My Observations:  The bottle says it contains 100% pure green tea ferment extract.  Green tea and glycerine are the major components on the list. All the ingredients fall under 1st and 2nd grade of safety level.

🌿 My Results: The Chok Chok Green Tea Lotion has provided hydration.  It works for me as an anti-inflammatory too. The skin feels soft and supple.  I apply 2-3 layers if just using this alone. It gives a soothing effect instantly.

🌿 My Recommendations:
1) For ample hydration.
2) Great as a daily moisturizer for dry skin/ dehydrated skin.
3) Works well as a Primer.

COSRX Oil-free Ultra Moisturizing Lotion with Birch Sap Review

IMG_3514

What does it claim?

This cream was developed to be a perfect complement to COSRX’s famous AHA and BHA products. It contains 70% Birch sap, a powerhouse ingredient for calming and treating sensitive, irritated, or freshly exfoliated skin. If you’ve ever experienced dryness due to acne medication, winter weather, or natural sensitivity, this is the cream for you. It quenches dry skin with zero greasy residues and calms acne-prone skin without causing breakouts. Win-win.

This product has a pH level of 5.5

Ingredients

Betula Platyphylla Japonica Juice, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Betaine, Cetearyl Alcohol,1,2-Hexanediol, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Sodium Lactate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Allantoin, Panthenol, Xanthan Gum, Ethyl Hexanediol, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil

Price

I bought it from Sokoglam for $20. Sokoglam is like the Korean skincare house for me. All my Korean skincare products are from Sokoglam.

Why did I try it?

Before this, I was using a thick cream which claims to work on my acne-prone oily skin. It’s a quite popular product so I thought I’d give it a try. Turns out it broke me out worse. And that was when  I looked for something watery. What’s titled as ‘oil-free’ got my attention. The texture seems also soft, calming, and watery. The price is not that high for the quality which it claims. I was also kinda disappointed with my skin condition. Besides, most of the reviews are also positive. This is why I bought it.

First Impression and its texture

What shocks me is the scent. I guess it smells a bit antiseptic but smells good. It immediately cools down my skin as soon as I apply it. What made me love it is the fact that it does not leave any stickiness behind to the point that I feel like I am not even wearing in on my skin. I first tried it in the morning and see what it would do on my skin throughout the day. And u know what? My face does not feel oily at all. (Not in a matte way but in a way of feeling like I have a normal skin).LOL I was happy to feel that way and was satisfied with its first impression.

Fragrance

When I first tried it, the scent was not familiar to me and it is unique in a good way. I guess it’s the birch sap scent but later on it became my favorite❤

Packaging

It’s a long cylindrical bottle with a pump. Oh yes, I love pumps! With the pump, it is easy for me to balance out the amount I am using each time. For me, “one pump, one time’’.

Breakouts, Yes or No?

Hell no, everyone. No breakouts or whatsoever. Besides, I even got in control of my breakouts with it. Can you imagine how happy I was?

Does it do as it claims?

It is really calming as it claims. And also no breakouts too. So, it’s a win for me.

In long-term?

It has been doing a really good job so far. My skin tends to get oilier when hot, but with this, I am getting less oilier than I used to be. I used this both day and night and I’m just loving it. I’m now on my second bottle, so you can guess how much I am enjoying it.

Repurchase, Yes or No?

Hell yes. It would have been way better if COSRX fixed up its fragrance somehow so that those who are intimidated by its fragrance would also try it. But, as for me, I just love the way it is and I’ll be committed to this till I find something better.

Innisfree Jeju Bamboo All-in-One Fluid Review

innisfree all in one fluidinnisfree all in one fluid2

Innisfree finally comes with the bamboo line. There are 4 products in this line. The All-in-One Fluid attracts me the most because the name sounds like it is a multifunctional product. Usually multifunctional products are more concentrated and can be useful if you’re in a hurry.

The product claims to soothe irritated skin by UV rays, purify, and moisturize the skin for a clear complexion. It contains broad-leaf bamboo from Halla Mountain in Jeju. This All-in-One Fluid can be used as a toner, lotion, and serum.

***PACKAGING

This product comes in a 100 ml green pump bottle. This product uses the same pump dispenser type as the Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum. The pump squeezes enough product for one layer application. If you like to use a generous amount of the product, you may need more. The bottle is heavy and thicker than the GTS Serum. This All-in-One product has a plastic cap protector that makes it travel-friendly and simple. The expiry date is 12 months after opening.

***INGREDIENTS

The main star in Innisfree Jeju All-in-One Fluid is 85% of Sasa Quelpaertensis / Bamboo Water Extract. Bamboo is well known for its antioxidant and healing benefits. I have heard that Chinese people use bamboo to help heal their wound faster. It can reduce melanin production, helps to reduce dark spots.

It also contains many beneficial plant extracts such as Aloe Vera, Cantella Asiatica as UV rays absorber, Orchid, Camellia and Licorice Root, Pueraria Thunbergiana Root as an antioxidant, Citrus Unshiu Peel as anti-inflammatory and also Sodium Hyaluronate. It uses no synthetic colorants, no mineral oil, no animal-originated ingredients, no imidazolidinyl urea, no paraben, no alcohol. But this product does contain fragrance as the last ingredient.

***HOW IS IT?

The product is thicker than a regular toner but runnier than a regular serum. It almost has the same texture as the Innisfree Green Tea Seed.  It’s transparent, non-sticky and absorbs immediately. The only thing that I don’t like about this product is the fragrance. It is not that kind of an unpleasant smell, the fragrance is refreshing but it’s just too strong for me. I can still smell the fragrance after a few minutes after application. It can be layered if you have no problem with the fragrance.  It feels light, very refreshing and hydrating on the skin. It will be good for normal to oily skin. If you have dry skin you may need to use a few layers of it. You can feel how it soothes the skin immediately. It makes my skin feel very smooth and it’s great to use under the makeup. It helps to heal acne faster and soothes the skin after sun exposure. This product is perfect for the hot summer!

Innisfree No-sebum Lotion Review

innisfree review

A week ago, I was looking for a moisturizer that would address my oily skin. I came across this at Innisfree’s website and impulsively bought this at Sui Sui PH. Innisfree’s No Sebum line really caught my attention because what else is better than having an oil-free face?? Anywaay, I’ve been using this for a week now and I must say, my impulsive buying was worth it! it’s already my fave moisturizer 😍

Innisfree No Sebum Lotion quick overview:

🌈 controls excess sebum with mint & Jeju natural minerals

🌈 maintains oil-moisture balance

🌈 keeps skin fresh & soft for long-lasting makeup

🌈 paraben, alcohol & sulfate free

So here are my #Bskinreview thoughts:

✨ the texture is really rich but is easily absorbed once applied to the face

✨ kept oil-production at bay

✨ mattified my skin without the dry feeling

✨ made my face really smooth & soft

✨ has a cooling effect

✨ has a faint mint scent which I loved

I’m definitely gonna repurchase this once I ran out 🙋🏻‍♀️
