Soo’Ae Nature Tea Tree Collagen Essence Mask Review

Soo’Ae Nature Tea Tree Collagen Essence Mask
This tea tree mask was part of a giveaway prize that I won from @sooaecanada and spoiler alert: I loved it!!
🌳Key Ingredients: Tea tree extract! I usually use tea tree oil to eliminate my pimples but this mask claimed to use it for moisture relief. Another key ingredient is collagen, which is used for moisturization. The mask claims that it improves skin elasticity, but applying collagen topically isn’t effective in stimulating collagen synthesis due to its inability to penetrate the top layer of the skin from its large molecular weight. Maybe they meant that restoring hydration can improve skin elasticity?
🌳Material: It’s a moderately thick cotton fabric material that’s flexible and doesn’t break easily.
🌳Fit: The fit was great overall except that the philtrum area was a bit small and the mouth hole was a bit too big for me.
🌳Texture:  The essence is moderately thick but it doesn’t feel heavy to the face at all! For comparison, it’s a bit more watery than the Nature Republic Real Nature masks.
🌳Scent: I was surprised at the lack of a tea tree oil scent, but I did smell some “blue water” scent.
🌳Thoughts:  9/10 This mask calmed my angry skin and gave me the hydration boost that I needed. Also, it moisturized my face moderately. I like how the essence isn’t too heavy and absorbs quickly, which is perfect for the current warm-ish weather! Although this wasn’t as effective as I thought it would be against acne, I’m still impressed at how well it moisturized my skin! I think this is one of my fav masks alongside with the Nature Republic ones~ If you’re looking for a moisturizing mask that’s easily accessible, this might be the one for you!
